Mark Wilhelms is a pianist, vocalist, composer, film producer, and storyteller whose career has spanned more than four decades. While he has long been recognized as an accomplished performer, it was later in life that he discovered his greatest artistic passion—composing emotionally driven music for film, theater, and contemporary popular music.
Mark believes that the most memorable music doesn't simply fill silence—it tells a story. His compositions are built around poignant melodies, cinematic themes, and rich orchestration that invite listeners to feel something deeply. Whether expressing hope, loss, triumph, or wonder, his goal has always remained the same: to create music that makes people laugh, cry, dream, or create something of their own.
As both a composer and film producer, Mark embraces the emerging world of AI-assisted filmmaking, seeing it not as a replacement for human creativity, but as a powerful new canvas for artists and storytellers. He is an enthusiastic advocate for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in film and music production, believing that technology can expand artistic possibilities while preserving the heart and emotion that define great storytelling.
As a performer, Mark has spent more than forty years entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest, appearing at concert venues, corporate events, theaters, upscale restaurants, hotels, and private engagements. Whether performing timeless classics at the piano or presenting his own original works, he brings warmth, authenticity, and a genuine love of connecting with people through music.
